First off before I launch into the whole who I am business, please know I would rather do anything else than write yet ANOTHER actor’s bio. Anyways...

I’m Mirsen Lausten. I’m an actor, producer, and generally very curious person based in New York City.

I started in theatre, earning my degree in Theatre Performance from Emerson College and was raised as a military kid overseas. Growing up moving between countries and cultures has shaped the way I understand why people behave the way they do, what makes them tick, and what happens when life puts them in circumstances they didn’t expect.

These days, my work has expanded well beyond the stage. I’ve worked across theatre, film, television, and commercial projects, and I’ve found myself increasingly interested in what happens on the other side of the camera, too. I’ve produced, worked on script development, advised on projects, and gotten increasingly fascinated by the wonderfully chaotic machinery required to turn an idea into an actual piece of work.

I like stories. I like the people who make them. I like figuring out why something works or why it very much does not. I like history, human behavior, structure, production, and all the strange little details that can make a character or a story feel real.

Whether I’m onstage, on set, developing a project, or sitting around arguing about why a character would actually make that decision, I’m interested in making work that feels human, specific, and worth making.

So if you’re here because you’re casting me, looking to collaborate, stalking my professional history, or just curious about what the hell I’ve been up to: welcome.

You can look at my resume.

You can look at my work.

But more importantly.. scroll down and look at my cat. He’s really cute.

Yo, What’s up?
